Hey there,
I’m Iris 😌
In my pursuit as a visual designer (and human bean in general), my mission extends beyond crafting aesthetically pleasing designs—it's about listening and building bridges between our communities, keeping in mind inclusivity and accessibility, and THEN finding ways of crafting aesthetically pleasing designs. I’m driven by a desire for personal connection, but also to bridging different perspectives. Each of us have inherent biases and assumptions that color our worldview, and between those biases I believe there will always be things that connect us and guide our understandings of one another. We are all just people figuring how to be people, so why not figure that out together?
My projects center around creative expression, discovery, and safety for us as people. These projects allow me to channel my education in history and psychology, to effectively draw from data and dig deeper to collaboratively create tangible, user-centric solutions. I embrace curiosity, acknowledging I'll never see beyond my perspective, and so I remain open to challenging assumptions, eager to discover what lies beyond it. I find joy in the discovery process, refining and enriching my understanding with each project.
When I’m not building bridges, you can find me walking across them, engaging with others through dance, climbing, books, and travels :)
